The power of the Holy Spirit brings healing and the miracle of the loaves and fishes. With spirituality all needs are provided. Man does not live by bread alone but by every word of God. Amen.

Thank you, Jim. Yes, God can move mountains (although you and I may be better advised to bring our own shovels). Still, in the beginning was the word.

Thank you for your faith, and for taking the time to comment.

Articulate enough for me, Peter. Thank you.

Growing up with structure, discipline and ritual gave me a sense of safety and security. Life was predictable. However, when those I placed my trust in veered from that spiritual path into lies, deceit, hypocrisy, etc. the focus immediately turned not just to the necessities of life but spotlighted the emptiness of those spiritual rituals. Speaking as a hypocrite and a fraud, these spiritual rituals are the only way back to a sane life.

Thank you for your comment. The mass formation psychosis that precedes the rise of totalitarianism is a special kind of insanity, and yes, reintroducing meaningful spiritual ritual into our individual and collective lives may be the only way to restore sanity and spiritual freedom. The free exercise of religion is listed as the first freedom in the First Amendment for a reason. It's because every other freedom is conditional on spiritual freedom. Thanks again.

I'll bet Big Pharma has a few pills to treat Mass Formation Psychosis.

Isn't mass formation psychosis simply a euphemism for cowardice? People see three buildings implode in on themselves and are told that fire brought them down. The first time in history that fire brings down a skyscraper and it happens three times in a row all on the same day? Then we're told that a virus that kills mostly people in their 80's and 90's, but even most of them will recover requires that the whole planet gets vaccinated while the media censors anyone who presents a sane alternative. When people see Capitol Hill police removing barricades and opening doors to allow protesters into the Capitol who are then arrested and imprisoned while the ring leaders who were clearly working for the government are never indicted or arrested walk free, people see that they might be better off moving to another country or hunkering down in an old "hidey hole" and hope that things blow over. In other words, I think there are plenty of people who see what's really going on, but have an overwhelming sense of self-preservation that trumps their incredulity, patriotism, etc.

There's a fine line between a mental disorder and those spiritual powers in high places who have taken possession of the human heart and are now poised to unleash wholesale destruction and pandemonium across the entire planet. These vessels fitted for destruction reveal God's power while those God has fitted for mercy reveal God's glory.

Many thanks for the thought-provoking comment. No doubt, most people go along to get along, especially during times when great power is arrayed and on display against them. Mass formation psychosis is what forms post-trauma, after our souls are fractured and driven apart. Only then can a galvanizing narrative -- however dark -- bring us back together to find comfort and succor in common (manufactured) cause.

The Patriot Act, Trump Derangement Syndrome and COVID lockdowns were all predicated on traumatic 21st-century events that provoked mass formation psychoses at the behest of spiritually malevolent powers -- enemies of spiritual freedom that destroy our families and communities. The juxtaposition of destruction and mercy as flip sides of the same coin explains why the Christian Bible requires both Old and New Testaments. One speaks largely to power and wrath while the other speaks largely to mercy and glory.

Thanks again for your comment.

It's rare that I encounter someone who is able to see that the two testaments are not mutually exclusive propositions. Non duality isn't normally associated with Christianity. Ironically, I saw this almost from the beginning, but then suddenly saw that the "first testament" (Hebrews 9:15) is the only one that offers redemption due to the fact that the second testament doesn't allow for a sacrifice for sin (Hebrews 10:26). The Old Testament presents commands that one endeavors yet fails to keep while the New presents promises fulfilled.

Ultimately, they aren't chronological events that occur one after the other, but side by side. The damned see only themselves in the flesh while the spirit sees only the risen Christ reflected in everyone they meet.

Thanks for such an inspiring presentation.

Thank you for reaching out. Mattais Desmet's recent book, "The Psychology of Totalitarianism", does a wonderful job of breaking down and explaining the grassroots rise and role of mass formation psychosis (a thoroughly irrational mob psychology) in response to collective alienation and estrangement as a prerequisite condition of totalitarianism. Check it out. Hanna Arendt's "Origins of Totalitarianism" is a critical read as well. Thanks again for your comment.

Thanks again, Stella. Stay tuned for Part 2 of The Demise of Meaningful Ritual and the Rise of Totalitarianism. In it I will allude to a solution, and will follow up over the next several months with actual exercises and methodologies.
